Once a haybarn, The Snug was tastefully converted and now provides modern detached accommodation, whilst retaining a truly cosy atmosphere. Situated next door to Coach House Cottage, the accommodation consists of a bright open-plan living space with fitted kitchen and sitting area upstairs, and comfortable double bedroom and bathroom downstairs. It is fully double-glazed, has central heating and free Wi-fi.
Situated on the upper floor, the bright open-plan living area has exposed wooden floorboards and a ‘Paris balcony’ providing views of an ever-changing seascape.Here you’ll find a flat screen TV (with Freesat) and DVD player. On the bookcase there are a good selection of DVDs to enjoy, as well as a radio, CD-player, small library of books and a selection of board games. Everything you need to curl up, relax, and maybe enjoy a glass of wine!Also in the living area is a double sofa bed, perfect for children.
With pine dining table and seating for four. You’ll find all the mod-cons and extra touches you’d expect in a modern little hideaway, including: fridge with ice compartment, washing dryer, electric cooker and hob, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and toaster. We’ll also leave washing-up liquid and some tea & coffee to start you off.
Situated on the ground floor, the bedroom is lovely and spacious with a comfortable double bed, plenty of pillows and cosy blankets to snuggle up under on a winter’s night. There is also a large wardrobe, dressing table and space for a cot.Travel cot, stair gate and high-chair available on request.
Just along the hall from the bedroom is the fully-tiled bathroom. Here you can enjoy a relaxing bath (especially welcome on one of our ‘rare’ wet Scottish days!). There is also an over-bath shower, wash basin, heated towel rail and electric shaver point.
Attached to the cottage is a small, lockable shed. You’re welcome to use this for storage - it’s not a very big space, but can take a couple of bikes.Parking: The Snug doesn’t have a parking space, but guests are welcome to use the the large layby at the foot of Trinity Lane (approx 20 metres from the cottage, with streetlighting). Of course, you are welcome to drive up the lane to load/unload etc!
